Can I get a hybrid with the sound of a V8
Ive always been a fan of fast and furious cars and really enjoy the sounds of a V8. The electric cars/ hybrids I have seen lack the punch that I would like.

So is there anyway of making that kind of sound while increasing fuel efficiency and reducing emmission?

You could fiddle with the circuits and make it read the alternator and produce sounds according to the revs on the engine. Offcourse its wouldnt be the perfect V8 sound, but it would do the trick....but then again, why would you want an electric car to sound like a V8??

You could follow what traunt has to say or go for this one
It does the trick, only things is that the sound is inside and youll have to do something to send it outside

Wow spoon... such an awesone device. But now that it uses the current Radio player youll have to install another radio or CD player if u wanna listen to something more relaxing than the sound of a V8... also the speakers need to be moved as you wouldnt want to have a V8 right (or V8 sound) next to your for a long time. I dont think moving speakers would be much of a hassel.
Also if you have a DIY electric car, you could hide that device by moving the cigaratte lighter somewhere else...

awesone spoon. That seems to be the easiest method and I might go by that one. Yeh traunt, youll have to look into installing another radio if you want to listen to music while producing v8 sound

How about this one guys

looks alrite to me, but its a bit heavy I guess and defeats the purpose of owning a hybrid

RE: Can I get a hybrid with the sound of a V8
Yeh that one looks very heavy. The added weight is not something that you want in a hybrid. I guess the Sound racer V8 is the only practical option which is efficient, and also value for money (under $40 I think, from what I remember when I did a google search)

But great going spoon, you certainly know how to get V8 sound effect... just curious, do you have this in your car??
