Hi guys,
A fellow at my work who just started recently inspired me as he drove a conversion Electric VW bug to work. This got me thinking that maybe I could do it as well. As far as a donor car goes, I have a '84 Honda Civic Hatchback at my disposal which I was thinking of using as it is fairly small (approx. 1852 lbs, a '94 Geo Metro is 1753lbs). Does anyone out there know if this is doable? I found someone who did this with a similar car (
http://evalbum.com/853) and if I were to do this I would probably buy the same motor and parts as him. I am fairly new to any mechanics and wouldn't need that big of a range or top speed. (I am a pretty poor student, but I have some money to spend).
Any thoughts?
